Light shows
World’s Fair in Barcelona in 1929 was a tremendous success, partly thanks to its nightly lights. Spectacular colored light – shifting in yellow, red and green – the light dissolved everything from fountains to the pavilions. Among them were Ludwig Mies van der Rohe masterpiece that was placed to reflect the evening light shows.

Several of the buildings from the World Expo are now museums and the stadium built for the exhibition was renovated for the Summer Olympics 1992.
