The expo was planned as a celebration of the completion of the railroad through the Alps – the Simlon tunnel. Located in Parco Real. Bezzera patented in 1901 the first espresso machine and it was shown at the World Fair in Milan this year.

The Milan Expo was organised into 200 stands (including Sempione Park and Piazza D’armi) construction of Civic Aquarium is still today, one of the most representative buildings of the city built for the National Exposition.

The exposition had approximately 10 milions of visitors from all over the world. The Expo in Milan ratified the economical rebirth of Milan consecrating it as Italian industrial capital.

  2. The Indianapolis Brewery won Gran Premio. The plaque was executed by S. Johnson. Where I can confirmation of the the artist who executed the plaque?

  3. I am looking to purchase an antique sewing machine with a brass type plate referring to the 1906 Milano Expo. There is no manufacturer’s name on the machine. Any help would be appreciated.
